Making Sawdust; Moving Soil

In keeping with the theme of this blog, we're deep into our work getting dust on our shoes and dirt on our hands. Here's a few photos to bring you up to speed.

We begin with sawdust...lots of it.

Bob's truss factory...
Proof that the big guy is getting his hands dirty...
Mozambicans are always ready to pose for a photo

Now we get to the 'moving the soil' part...
Clearing brush for the site of the new Maintenance Shop
Marking out the foundation
Digging the foundation...by hand
The big hole marks where a tree stump had to come out
But it's not all work and no play.
Badminton anyone?
Rick makes a mean Hamburger Helper...
Bob and Joao cleaning some locally-caught fish (tasty, but boney)
Bob the Builder transforms into Bob the African Bushrunner
Rick checks out the foundations for the bridge to the airfield (obviously still under construction)

Then there's always church on Sunday...where the visitors get asked to preach the sermon...
Both of us...
Can you guess which white guy was more long-winded than the other?

  3. Bob the african bush runner, now that's funny. I think that name could stick when he comes home. Hi dad!

  4. Looks like you fellas are accomplishing a lot!
It is great to see the pictures - keep 'em coming!

  5. Dad - I noticed you weren't on either volleyball team. Way to carry on the Cogbill tradition of opting to be the photographer rather than join in the sport. That's where we get it from!

Looks like you guys are having a great time and working hard. Love you!

  6. While I second Sarah's comment of abstaining from sport trickling down the gene pool, I can't decide which photo I prefer - you making Hamburger Helper or the adorable church scene.

Bob, what are the odds of you adding a new shelving unit to the ladies bathroom as well?

Dad, I must ask: how's the Mint Crisp?

    Love you!
